365 Days Of Junk - Day 183

Green Mid Century Modern Footstool/Ottoman

This is a green vinyl footstool or ottoman. It is mid century modern in style and has a chrome base/legs. I think it originally went with a chair. Too bad I couldn't find the matching chair when I purchased it!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 182

Vintage Pink Laundry Hamper

I just love this piece!!!! I think it is sooooo cute. It is a vintage laundry hamper. I guess it's made of plastic. It feels and looks like melamine to me. You know, those old plastic type of plates, Melmac????? It is a pretty shade of pale pink. The lid has a white handle and scalloped edges.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 181

Tripod Table

I bought this table for around $10, I think. I like the look of it. It has metal tripod legs and a round glass top.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 180

Pair of Bentwood Chairs with Vinyl Seats

Here is a pair of bentwood chairs, purchased for almost nothing from a Goodwill Store. These have black vinyl seats and backs with a nail head detail around the back. I love it when I can find matching chairs in thrift stores. Usually you can only find 1 chair, or sometimes 3 chairs. You can rarely find them in even numbers. What do people do to their chairs?????? How do some many get broken??????

365 Days Of Junk - Day 179

9 West Cowboy Boots

These are not super fancy cowboy boots but I couldn't resist them. You see, I have a pair, myself. Mine are different colors (red, yellow & blue). My mother bought them for me when I was in junior high school. Yep, that's right! They are from the late 80's. I have kept them all these years. So I get a little excited when I see them in thrift stores. I also have a pair that are solid black, which were purchased in a different thrift store. A blast from the past for me!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 178

Clam Shell Tiered Serving Tray

This is an adorable tiered serving tray. I think it is vintage, probably from the 50's or 60's. I think it may be silver plated. But... The best part is that it folds up like a clam shell!!!!! I may be easily amused.

365 Days Of junk - Day 177

School House Music Box

I think this little music box is so stinking cute. You wind it up and it plays school days. Plus, the doors open and the child goes in & out. It was a fun find for just a few dollars.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 176

Art Deco Style Dresser

Isn't it a beauty? It's not often that you find great prices of furniture in great shape in thrift stores. Let's face it, most people keep their good furniture. However, if you look long enough, you can find some good stuff. This piece was in pretty good shape when I bought it, and it wasn't cheap by thrift store standards. I paid about $75 for it from a Goodwill store, but I couldn't resist.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 175

Hartmann Address Book

This is a beautiful Hartmann address book, with notepad. The quality of the leather is fantastic! The address book has not been used, but there are some pages missing from the notepad (who cares, right?). I purchased this for less than $5 from a thrift store!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 174

Fenton Daisy & Button Glass Shoes

Here are 2 decorative glass shoes by Fenton. I think the color is called Amberina, but I'm not 100% sure about that. The pattern in the glass is the Daisy & Button pattern. One shoe is a slipper with a cat's head, and the other is a booty. These are not really my style, as far as collectibles go, but they are in great condition and were super cheap. Like 99 cents each, cheap! Score!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 173

Women's Old Gringo Boots

Aren't these GORGEOUS??????? These are brown suede Old Gringo Boots. They are in near perfect condition! I found them in a Goodwill Store! Can you believe it? The only problem... They are not my size!!!!!!! I would love it if I could find a great pair of boots like these that would actually fit me.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 172

Framed Painted Egyptian Papyrus

I am pretty sure that this is painted on actual papyrus. It was tough to a get a decent picture in a room with HORRIBLE light. It is signed, but as usual I cannot make out the signature! I love that if you look closely, you can see the creases & tears in the papyrus.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 171

Framed Vintage Herb Chart

I just think this piece is so kitschy cute! It is a framed vintage Herb Chart. I love the illustrations on it. I think it look great in a retro kitchen! The bottom left corner reads: Copyright 1948 by The National Cathedral Association.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 170

Vintage Descoware Sauce Pan & Skillet

These were such a good find! They are flame red/orange cast iron, enamelware cookware. They are vintage but in very good condition. One is a sauce pan with the lid, and the other is a skillet. I found these in a thrift store, as the girl was just putting them on the shelf. I either paid $3 each, or $4 each. Such a steal!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 169

Velvet Matador/Bullfighting Paintings

Here are 2 original paintings done on black velvet. (I just keep thinking of velvet Elvis!) They depict a matador/bullfighting scenes. This is not my favorite subject matter (I feel sorry for the bull), but I liked the colors on the black velvet background. They are framed and signed. Although, I am not able to read the artist signature.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 168

Turtle Footstool

This is a turtle footstool. I believe it is handmade. I just think it is quirky & cute. Therefore, I couldn't resist it. It's only about a foot or so tall and his back is covered in red faux fur. I only paid a few dollars for him, from the Goodwill Store. So... Like I said, I just couldn't resist!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 167

Coca-Cola Pitcher & Glasses

The Coca-Cola (from now on referred to as Coke) pitcher and glasses are the result of a multi-day hunt. I may or may not have purchased these in the same thrift store, I can't remember. I do remember that I found the pitcher first! They are all, I think, made by Indiana Glass Co. Some of the glasses still had the stickers, but the pitcher did not have any identifying marks. They are of the heavy, green, pebbly variety. I bought them because Coke is big here in the ATL.
