365 Days Of Junk - Day 40
Orange Pouf
This is an orange leather pouf. Orange is a fun color to decorate with, don't you think?
365 Days of Junk - Day 39
Green Bunny
He is a cute, green bunny made out of wood. I like that he looks a bit exotic. (I have no idea why I think he's a he.)
365 Days Of Junk - Day 38
Mid Century Vanity Mirror
This is a mid century vanity/makeup mirror made of wood & brass. I love the masculine feel that it has.
I must tell you, that since this photo was taken, this mirror was broken. It was totally by accident and I was not the one who broke it. Easy come, easy go! How do you get rid of the bad luck you get for breaking a mirror? Anyone know?
365 Days Of Junk - Day 36
Vintage Hallmark Music Box
I found this older Hallmark music box a few weeks ago. It's from the 80's and still has the original tags and it works perfectly. It's not an item that's worth a ton of money, but I;m smitten with the artwork on the top!
365 Days Of Junk - Day 35
Tonka Dump Truck
This is a smallish (like maybe 6-8 inches long) dump truck by Tonka. I love, love, love the older toys. I usually buy them when I come across them. I guess it remonds me of my childhood.
365 Days Of Junk - Day 34
Carnival Glass Bowl
This is a marigold colored Carnival Glass Bowl, in a sunflower pattern. I prefer blue glass, but I try to buy Carnival Glass whenever I find it, especially if it only costs a couple of dollars!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 32
Green Lane Cedar Chest
This is a Lane Cedar Chest from the 50's or 60's.( I can't remember which and it's too full of stuff to turn it over and look!)
Anyways, it's in great condition and still has the original tag on it. I don't think the green paint is original, but it adds character (or something).
365 Days of Junk - Day 31
Chef Pig
This is a statue of a Pig Chef or a Pig Cook, holding a chalkboard. It was made by Artcast copyright 1992. Does anyone else remember these?????? You would put them in your kitchen and write on the chalkboard. DUH! I remember that around the same time that these were popular, restaurants liked to write their menus on chalkboards.
365 Days Of Junk - Day 30
Red Born Boots
These are red western style boots by Born. I so wished that they were my size, but of course they were not!
365 Days Of Junk - Day 28
Trench Art
So... I'm either a dummy or someone who doesn't get out very much. Maybe even a dummy who doesn't get out much, but I had never heard of Trench Art until I found this thing. I thought it was some funky brass vase in the Goodwill store. It was super heavy and upon further inspection I could tell that it was a shell casing to a large bullet, It say 105MM M14 on the bottom which is apparently a Howitzer shell.
What I have learned since finding it is that soldiers used to turn the shell casings and other remnants of war into decorative items. This one has a date from the 1940s on the bottom so it dates back to WWII.
This may be the most historically interesting item that I have found, to date.
365 Days of Junk - Day 27
Large Globe Shaped Vase
And when I say large, it is LARGE. It is at least 3 feet tall and you have to S_T_R_E_T_C_H to reach your arms around it.
365 Days of Junk - Day 26
Wooden Coors Beer Barrel
This is a wooden Coors beer barrel with a top. I guess it's kind of like a wooden keg. It stands about as tall as a small end table. I think it could be fun in a ,an cave!
