365 Days Of Junk - Day 343

Vintage Highland House Chair

This is a really great vintage chair. It is in excellent condition. This appears to be the original, greenish-yellow, velvet upholstery.  The tag read Highland House and indicates that this chair was originally sold through Haverty's. I bought it from a Goodwill Store. As you can see in the second picture, I paid $25.92, which I think was a great price given the mid century style of the chair and it's condition.

Lane Cabinet Style End Table

This is a Lane occasional table. It could be used as an end table or a night stand. I think it would make a great liquor cabinet, for a small space. It has sort of an Asian feel to it with the style of the legs and the shape of the hardware. I bought from a Goodwill Store for around $25.00. It's too bad that there was only 1! I have such a tough time finding pairs of great tables.

Office Cabinet

This is a vintage office cabinet with sliding doors. It has a shelf inside, for plenty of storage. It could either sit on a desk/table or on the floor. I guess it could be mounted on the wall, like a giant medicine cabinet. I found it in a charity thrift store for $8.00.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 340

Vintage California Originals Zebra Statue

This guy is kind of big. He is about the size of a small dog. It is marked California Originals on the bottom of his back. It is either form the late 1950's or early 1960's. I bought it in a Goodwill Store. I think I paid $15.91 for it. It is just so quirky that I couldn't resist buying it.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 339

Vintage Ceramic Puppy Planter

I find these things, frequently. You know, they are the planters that people used to use to send plants and flowers back when the containers had personality. This one is a puppy dog with a mailbox. the mailbox has an opening at the top to hold the plant. I think he is adorable! While I probably would not put a plant in it, I think it would be cute to hold something like paperclips on a desk. I bought this piece from a local Goodwill Store. I probably paid $3 or $4 for it.
