365 Days Of Junk - Day 299

Vintage American Tourister Train Case

This is a vintage American Tourister train case. I have shown other, similar train cases. I ususally buy the vintage ones, when I find them, if the price is right. This one is RED! I have not seen another red train case, like this one. It has a bit of damage to it, but since it was red I had to buy it. I paid $2.92 for it.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 298

Jarts Missile Game

This is a set of Jarts, in the original box with all of the parts & pieces. Does anyone else, besides me, remember these? Did anyone else have them? They have been banned for sale in the US, for quite a few years. So, they are somewhat difficult to find. You cannot sell them on Ebay. I found this set in a little thrift store, for $5.00. I had no idea, until after I had purchased them, that they had been banned.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 297

Vintage Flask Set

This is a pair of glass flasks, in a vinyl carrying case. I'm thinking they are probably from the 1970's. I found them (the entire set) in a Goodwill Store for $3.93.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 296

Little Red Riding Hood Lamp

This is a cute little lamp for a child! It has Little Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf. I love her little basket. It is wooden, and only about a foot tall. I paid around $5.00 for it

365 Days Of Junk - Day 295

Vintage Fiestaware Gravy Boat

Does anyone really use a gravy or sauce boats anymore? I think they have gone by the wayside with relish trays! Anyway, this is an older Fiestaware gravy/sauce boat. It's that really great vintage blue color. The one that is kind of turquoise and kind of robin's egg blue. You know the one... It's the color that everyone is painting furniture. This piece is in good shape, except for the chips on the bottom. It was only $1.01 in a Goodwill Store.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 294

Vintage Big Eyed Doll

This is a vintage big eyed doll, on a stand. She is wearing a fancy yellow dress, in kind of a Gone With The Wind style. She is also wearing a hat and is mounted on a plastic stand. You can see from the up-the-dress picture that I paid $2.02 for her. Is she creepy or cool?

365 Days Of Junk - Day 293

B Arhelger Tray

This is a hard plastic tray with a gorgeous image of a green pear on it! It is signed B Arhelger. I think it is old enough to be considered vintage. I want to hang it on the wall in my kitchen, because I love the pear that much! I found this in a Goodwill Store, and I paid around $3.00 for it.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 292

Vintage Nevco Cutting Board

This is a wooden cutting board, made by Nevco. The front has a salt shaker and pepper grinders painted on it. I have purchased other, similar, cutting boards, but this one is in near mint condition. It was only $4.00!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 291

Vintage Aluminum Cake Carrier

Isn't this a great cake carrier. It reminds me of watching The Donna Read Show or Dennis The Menace. Maybe, Leave It To Beaver?????? Is it just me, or were they always talking about baking cake on those shows? I think my grandmother may have even had one of these. I just love it and could not resist it's vintage charm! I paid $4.54 for it in a Goodwill Store.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 290

Kimax Graduated Cylinder

I think this was such a great find! I purchased it from a local Goodwill Store for $1.91. It's a graduated cylinder, that would be used in a lab or a chemistry class. This particular one is big. It's about 24 inches tall. I think it would be so great to mix martinis in it. Or, maybe, use it as a vase.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 289

Vintage Red Briefcase

This is a red briefcase. It's one of the hard ones, like an older Samsonite suitcase. It does not have a maker name, that I could find. I love the bright red color! I either paid $2.02 or $3.03 for it. I bought it in a local thrift store.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 288

Pink Glass Decanter

This is a pink glass decanter, with the top. It's tall, approximately 18 inches tall with the top on. It is marked that it was made in Spain. I think I paid around $6.00 for it.
