365 Days Of Junk - Day 262

Vintage Farrington Jewelry Box

This is a ladies jewelry box. It's a small one that you could travel with. It says it's "fashioned by Farrington" and made of "Genuine Texol" on the bottom. The outside is a light blue and the interior is pink! The pink interior could use a good cleaning, but otherwise it's in good shape. I bought this, recently, in a Goodwill Store for a couple of dollars (probably $1.91 or less).

365 Days Of Junk - Day 261

Yellow Opalescent Dish

This is a yellow, opalescent leaf-shaped dish or bowl, with a handle. Size wise, it is a bit smaller that a saucer but a little larger than my hand. I am pretty certain that it is vintage, depression glass. I don't think it's Vaseline glass, because it is more yellow than green. I am smitten with the shape and color. I paid $4.94 for this beauty, in a Goodwill Store.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 260

Aqua Carnival Glass Candy Dish

I have big love for carnival glass. I buy it whenever I find it, as long as the price is reasonable. This one is kind of an aqua or a teal greenish blue. Does that make sense?  I think it is considered a candy dish or bowl and has the lid. I also think it is made by Indiana Glass, but I could be wrong. This piece is in good condition. I didn't find any cracks or chips on it. I think I paid $6.96 for it in a thrift store. I just adore the color!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 259

Tiki Cup

This is a ceramic tiki cup. The back reads "Hawaii Kai". The bottom has a sticker that isn't really legible, but I can make out Otagiri written on the bottom. So, I'm thinking it is a pretty safe bet that this thing was made by Otagiri. I bought it in a local Goodwill Store for less than $5.00. I don't remember exactly how much I paid for it, but I know that I wouldn't have paid $5.00 for it.

365 Days Of Junk - Day 258

Tiki Statues

This is a lot of tiki statues or figures. The first 2 are some sort of plastic material and depict multiple tiki gods. These were $1.21 each, from the Goodwill Store. The last one is bigger, approximately 10 inches tall. (The first two statues are only a few inches tall.) It is some sort of pottery material, and was made in Mexico. I think I paid around $3.00 for this guy. Did you know that tiki stuff is trending right now? Apparently people love it! Who knew????????

365 Days Of Junk - Day 257

Copper Salt & Pepper Shakers

This is a set of copper salt & pepper shakes. I'm not sure if they're old enough to be considered "vintage" but they have a great patina. These were around $1.00 each (or $2.00 for the set) from a Goodwill Store. I love the look of copper in the kitchen. I think copper cookware makes people look like they can cook, even if they can't!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 256

Vintage Executair 880 Travel Bar

This is a vintage travel bar in a black case. It has the accessories and a space to hold your liquor. It even has the original key in the envelope. I'm not sure what to say about this thing... It kind of cracks me up! I just image it being "hip" to carry of of these things back in the 1970's. Oh my!
