365 Days Of Junk - Day 239

Carnival Glass Compote Dish

This is a large Carnival Glass compote or candy dish. It stands at least a foot tall and is marigold color with a grape vine/leaf pattern. I'm not 100% sure of the maker, I just love carnival glass. I almost always buy it when I find it (if it is a decent price!).

Vintage Brown & Cream McCoy Pitcher

This is a pitcher by McCoy pottery. It is brown at the top and cream colored at the bottom. I really love the shape of it. It seems very simple, but kind of feminine. The wide mouth/top reminds me of a flower and the scroll on the handle is just beautiful. I think I purchased this piece from a local Goodwill Store for under $5!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 237

Brass Glass Top Table

For some reason, this is exactly the type of table I gravitate towards. It has a brass base with a glass top. The base is kind of a X shape. I LOVE it. I found it in a Goodwill Store for less than $20! Can you believe it?

365 Days Of Junk - Day 236

Vintage Plaid Picnic Tote

This is a picnic tote bag, I think. It is a bag that would have come with a matching plaid Thermos and maybe some other accessories. Right? I think it is adorable! Wouldn't it make a cute carry-on bag?

Painting

In between junking, I've been trying to do some painting and drawing. I never have enough time. Probably because I try to do too many things.

This is a small mixed media piece that I did...

This is graphite & acrylics on paper. I did this for an online course, Make Art That Sells, with Lilla Rogers. Our assignment was to create a holiday themed card.

Here is an abstract that I painted, recently...

I actually painted over a canvas that I had used for part one of Make Art That Sells, to create this piece. I still have the dream of opening an Etsy shop. I know it's not difficult to OPEN an Etsy shop, I'm just having a tough time with the idea of putting myself "OUT THERE". I did to be brave, but it's oh so difficult!

365 Days Of Junk - Day 235

Metal Frame Thonet Armchair

This chair is from Thonet!!!!!!! Can you believe it? I found it in a thrift store for $40! Yay! The frame of the chair is metal, aluminum I suspect. It is covered in lime green vinyl. Groovy!

Vintage Saks Fifth Avenue Purse

This purse was a steal! I found it in a thrift store (not Goodwill) for $3! It is gray suede and leather with brass details. It is from Saks Fifth Avenue and is in great condition.
